VIVAnews - Three political leaders, one of which is still listed fugitive, today gather in Jakarta. Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had officiated a forum and launch of Strategic Review: The Indonesian Journal of Leadership, Policy and World Affairs, today, in which the figures were.
Among the attendees in the forum were Malaysian opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim, former Timor Leste President, Ramos Horta, and former Prime Minister of Thailand, Thaksin Shinawatra.
Hassan Wirajuda, Editor in-Chief of Strategic Review journal, said the three figures addressed the audiences on peace processes in their countries. "The three men of wisdom will talk about reconciliation processes in their own countries," said the former Indonesia's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The former Prime Minister of Thailand was still listed fugitive in Thailand following his ousting in September 2006 in a military coup. He was put to trial for corruption.
The Supreme Court of Thailand sentenced Thaksin with two years of imprisonment in 2008. However, prior to the verdict being passed, the convict fled the country.
