Petrokimia to Get Higher Export Allocation

VIVAnews – PT Petrokimia Gresik will receive 20,000 tons export allocation of urea fertilizer in 2010.

Petrokimia Gresik president director Arifin Tasrif said that the company will receive a higher export allocation in 2010 than the 2009 export allocation, which only reached 16,000 tons.

On Sept. 17 2009, Trade Minister issued export permits for four state-owned enterprises, namely PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (196,000 tons), PT Petrokimia Gresik (16,000 tons), PT Pupuk Kujang (58,000 tons), and PT Pupuk Kaltim (208,000 tons).

According to Tasrif, Indonesia has lost a good opportunity to export fertilizer, seeing the low price of fertilizer globally. “The fertilizer price reached US$700 per ton, but now it only reaches US$250 per ton,” he added.
